I would just let her know that you are thinking about her. If you don’t know, ask if she wants you to come spend time with her or she wants to be alone. You could possibly send a small thoughtful gift like flowers or a card.
You just have to be there to console her even though you really don’t know how they are feeling or what to say and you could do that by sending her a little “thinking of you” gift, a thoughtful card, or just being there if she needs someone to talk to.
I think just the kind words of prayer and thoughts will help tremendously.
